Welcome to X's UO Art Gallery

Sometimes, during those rare times that I'm not playing UO, I think about the game. I ponder the fact that I've played Ultima Online for over seven years, and prior to that, the non-online versions - Ultima III thru VIII. Consequently, I think I can safely say I "know" the Ultima world pretty well... or at least as well as anyone can know a place that doesn't really exist anywhere but in the minds of thousands of players.
When I think, I doodle. When I think near a computer, I doodle digitally ("digi-doodling?"). Occasionally, I try to visualize a scene or a character, and enjoy trying to put "flesh" on the bones of that visual imagery in my head. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't work, the "delete" key does a wonderful job of erasing all evidence of my artistic incompetency. But when it does seem to work, I'm then left with the conundrum of what to do with it.

So, here's my solution. A gallery, of sorts. Easy to find, if you're interested, and just as easy to ignore, if you're not.
A quick note about how I do what I do: Most of these pictures are really compilations of dozens of little bits and pieces of royalty-free photos pieced together like jigsaw puzzles, carefully stitched together, and often altered so drastically that the photographers would never recognize the pieces as their own. Like Frankenstein's monster, most of the characters in my pictures are a collection of parts. A single character in one of my pictures may get her eyes from a famous supermodel, her nose and mouth from an actress, her upper torso from a yogurt ad, and her legs from lingerie catalog. I stitch the parts together, choose the skin tone, draw in some details, and then go looking for some clothes to put the figure into. Add some background elements, foreground elements, and other graphical bells and whistles, and voila!
And yes, I do prefer to depict women in my art. Luckily, I wasn't cursed with an equal opportunity imagination.
