The UMP Recruiting Process Persons interested in joining UMP may become recruits in one of two ways. If a current full member of UMP is willing to vouch for the person and assume responsibility for that person's actions during the Ronin period, then the prospect may be guilded as a recruit with the rank of Ronin. If the interested person does not have a sponsor who can vouch for them, then that person may be classified as a Prospective Recruit, and may be required to hunt with the guild for a period of two weeks or more before being guilded as a recruit with a rank of Ronin. The Ronin period for recruits may last anywhere from two weeks to several months, depending on a variety of factors, which may include the frequency with which they play, their interactions with other guild members, and unresolved issues. The Ronin period is a time for recruits to decide if the guild is right for them, and for the current members to determine if the recruit is a good fit for the guild. During the Ronon period, recruits may have one character in the guild. Once the recruit becomes a full member, he or she may guild as many of their own characters as they wish. At the end of the Ronin period, current guild members will be polled individually by the Guildmaster, and Emissaries consulted to determine whether the recruit is prepared to become a full member. The final determination, however, rests upon the Guildmaster. Still interested? Then fill out the following application, and you'll be contacted by an Emissary to arrange an in-game interview! |
