Welcome to the Universal Melting Pot (UMP)

UMP is a guild as old as Ultima Online itself. It was organized in 1998 on the Japanese Wakoku shard, where it grew to over 200 members in a very short period of time. After a period of explosive growth and internal philosophical differences, the guild split into PvP (Player versus Player) and PvM (Player versus Monster) factions, and later, split further into five separate guilds based on play style. Eventually, some of these dispersed former UMPers reunited and migrated to AOL Legends and other shards before finally and formally making the Lake Austin shard their home.
Today, UMP is an active and growing guild dedicated to PvM play, helping others, and making friends. Each UMP member is expected to commit to these values and to uphold the charter of the guild in all that they do. Helping each other and having fun are our primary goals as UMPers.

UMP Guildhouse

Our Guildhouse is located on Malas, on the road west of Umbra, just short of the brigand camp, at coordinates 25" 14' N., 22" 30' E. Here, you'll find a copy of our charter and history on display, alongside mementos of past guild hunts and adventures.

UMP Annex

Our Annex is next door to the Guildhouse. It is located at coordinates 25" 51' N., 23" 43' E. It has a conveniently organized rune library, a large meeting hall, chests for temporary storage, dying vats, a luck-enhancing statue and training facilities on the roof.

UMP is a Hunting Guild

We regularly hunt Peerless and Champion Spawns as a group. We have found that with discipline and training, we can easily handle hunts with a small group that others find difficult even with a large group. Interested in doing this sort of thing? Talk to an UMPer!

UMP Rares Museum

The UMP Rares Museum is located on Malas, west of the guildhouse and south of the large abandoned Orc fort, at coordinates 24" 58' N, 3" 18' E. This museum, created by UMP veteran Tank, boasts a collection of artifacts that will take your breath away.

UMP Town

UMP Town is located on the road directly west of the city of Umbra. I includes the Guildhouse, Guild Annex, and the houses of many UMP members who enjoy living in an area relatively free of monsters and close to guild activities.
